Aiden Gefair

 Sorcerer-Monk

An old man and his student sit upon a grassy knoll.

"Aiden-son, do you know why you are here today?" Said the old master.

"No Master... is it about the dumplings? I swear to you they were rotten!" said the young student.

"No young Aiden, I have brought you here for a much gr-...dumplings you said?"

"Um...yes Master, but what is it you wish to speak with me about?"

"You ate my dumplings!? Those were to be eaten after sparring!!"

"I only ate one!! ..Well, the one with green stuff on it... it looked spoiled"

"That was decoration!"

"I'm sorry Master!! Please forgive me!!"

"Very well, for this you are excused. Now back to the buisness at hand. You have trained for very long young Aiden."

"Four years worth Master."

"Has it been so long? Well, it seems about time fo-"

"The dumplings!?"

"...Can you think of nothing but food!!??"

"I'm sorry Master, but I skipped brunch and-"

"Silence! Such a brilliant student cannot act like such a fool! Do you not wish to bring honor to your parents?"

"Y-yes Teacher!"

"Then stop acting like an idiot!"

"I was doing what now?"

The Master hits the student over the head with a bucket.
"OW!!"

"Your stomach is not important right now, I am!"

"S-sorry Master!!"

Slowly the Master begins to speak.

"Over the years you have trained your body to deliver powerful blows. You have trained your mind to withstand great assaults. Yet, your spirit is still young and without experience."

"What does that mean Master?"

"Our Tiger Strike training tells us that in order to become a master of Tiger style, one must experiance the world and release the tiger within our souls. To do this, one must fight. Fight for your life. By donig this, one will strenghthen their soul."

"...I'm still confused master.."

"Sigh. Observe young student."

The master stands and approches a training dummy.

"You must learn to focus your chi and let it adapt to your fighting spirit. When the two find a the balance, the elements of nature will flow though you. Tiger Thrust!"

The master makes a gesture with his hand, covering it with a static of sorts. He then makes a fist and punches the dummy. The dummy flies apart as electricity sparks all about. Gesturing with his other hand, flames encircle it.

"Tiger Strike!"

Spining and hitting a second dummy with the back of his fist, it flys backwards off it's post in flames.

"Wow master!! I think something was in those dumplings of yours!!"

"Aiden... I hope to the gods that you somehow don't get killed in your trial."

"My what?"

"Aiden, your training can go no further here. You must journey, quest if you will. You must find your tiger spirit. Along the way you may seek other masters, those who can show you how to harness this spirit. Tomorrow you will leave, you will head (direction). The experiences you will have along the way will bring to closer to the path of the Tiger Master."

"I will not fail in this quest master! ...Can we eat lunch now?"

"It depends student, did you already eat it!?"

"...I'll get to packing master."
