Takglub Irmch is from a huge country hick family of the Amn region.  Tak was born smack in the middle of 12 siblings.  He was the strongest as well as the dumbest of his family.  Years of working the family farm have made him stronger than most, and deadly with a hoe.  His skills to the family brought many acres of great corn.

One year, when the farm was not doing so well, Tak and a few of his brothers enrolled in the gladiator tournaments for extra cash.  After doing quite well, Tak decided that he might do better for his family by setting out for adventure rather than being a farm hand.  After telling his family of his soon departure, his human mother handed him his father’s crowbar, much to his father’s dismay.  Setting off with this family heirloom and the great axe he won in the gladiator pre-trials, Tak headed for Thesk. 

At a crossroad, Tak came across an angsty little gnome named Block.  The gnome demanded that Tak remove himself from “his” road.  As Tak laughed heartedly, Block clubbed him in the knee.  With luck and a little magic, the feisty gnome brought Tak to his knees in one hit.  Believing Block to be an all powerful spell master, Tak followed Block in fear, hoping that Block will remove the horrid “curse” of making his mother smell of elderberries.

Tak and Block safely made their way to Thesk.  They were jumped by bandits at one point, but they were quickly dealt with by Tak, while Block yelled threats at them from the background.  Shortly after arriving in Thesk, Block picked a fight with a group of small children.  After Tak rescued the gnome from his vicious attackers, the children shoved them both in the river.  After saving the gnome from drowning (by Tak standing up), they found themselves surrounded by the city guards. 

Block was thrown in jail with a large fine, while Tak got off as he was reported as trying to keep the peace by onlookers.  Apparently, they reported seeing Tak pull the gnome from the children and try to throw him off the bridge, only to be pulled in by the gnome.  Tak is now seeking the gold to get the gnome out of jail before Block becomes angry and curses another member of his family.
