Gold Dwarf Paladin

Vroomtilt hails from the mountains north of Thesk, past The Great Dale. He moved away from his family at the age 60. He stayed with his uncle and worked in the smithy all day, making and repairing weapons, he was very good at his job, and with his skill he made more then enough to pay for his boarding and food. However his true passion was his devotion to Moradin. He was attending classes at night to become one of the clergy. He had hoped to one day have his hands be used to heal rather then make weapons for only violence.
Now, don't get me wong, VroomTilt loved crafting blades, bludgeons, and bows. But he knew that he could do so much more for his fellow dwarves, and dwarven society in general. So he worked all day and studied all night for 60 years. it was his last week in his uncle's shop, he was sure going to miss it, he had never known a more lucrative job. The harder he worked, the more money he made. It was at the end of that week, in the month of Mirtul, he had caught the flu of flu's.
Now if a dwarf catches a cold then you know it's bad stuff. Now vroomtilt had not missed a day in 60 years, and he was not going to on account of some flu. So in to work he went, just like another day. He had no class that night, so he stayed after his uncle retired to bed to finish making his wicked war axe, a true symbol of dwarven power and strength. He had been on his feet all day, and the heat the forge only made his fever seem worse. he stumbled forward and fell, letting go of his hammer and tongs, which flew into the coals of the forge. Getting to his feet and cursing his own foolishness he grabbed another pair of tongs from the wall, today just wasn't his day, he hadn't had a single fall, trip, or drop in decades.
As he reached poked the tongs into the blaze of the coals he was mesmerized by the flames licking up around the hammer and tongs. Was is the fever and the forge, for in the the flames there were the Mountains of Thesk, and two dwarves; twins. Ones born of thunder. He cannot recall the time between when he looked into the blaze and when his uncle came back to work the following morning and asked how long he had been standing there. Vroomtilt knew that his god wanted to leave, and to leave now. He could not explain to anyone why, though. They would surely think him mad. He told his uncle he was going to Thesk to make a name for himself and if the money was good he would send for him.
