A large two-sectioned stone cottage lies before you. It sits in the middle of a gravel lot
devoid of grass, trees, or any verdant substance. Small pipes jut out and up from the
walls at several points, and several more stove pipes and chimneys emerge from
the apex of the roof. A tattered
flag snaps in the breeze from a pole at the front tip of the building, upon
which is sewn the words “Mortar & Pestle”, next to the simple image of such.
You enter the door beneath the flag, and enter the main portion of
the shop. The entire floor is
covered by a very plush and much stained rug. Burn marks are evident in it at several
points, and bits of glass have yet to be swept up. The ceiling here is fairly low, making
any character seven feet tall or more stoop. Around the circumference of the room,
chains hang from the ceiling, holding what appear to be chandeliers at chest
height. On closer inspection you
notice these are vial racks suspended from the
ceiling.
Several shelves form a square around the center of the room, which
you walk around to analyze the contents therein. Small bundles of tindertwigs, tied
together with strings are present, as are many sunrods and smoke sticks stacked
into pyramids. Tanglefoot bags are
arranged next to cans of scentbreaker, and several small tins of lip balm are
arranged nearby as well.
Greefus Calhoun, the gnome alchemist who owns the place, is rarely
seen as he is usually in the rear chamber tending to his bubbling flasks. His assistant, a young human named Delia
Morraine, glumly deals with customers in the
front.
You can purchase basic alchemical products here for normal price. You can purchase weapon black, lip balm, and eye drops as well.
