Hath-Cruig Arena

 (5)

The Hath-Cruig Arena, or simply “The Arena”, dominates the area at the trisection whereLeiden Road splits into Falcon Court and Eagle Way.  A very large “L” shaped building brackets the left half of the arena, bearing six large archways which lead into the open court that is the lowest floor of the building.  A short distance to the east, the towering Yews of the Falban Gardens jut into the sky.

As you enter the archways, you notice the mosaic tiles that compose the floor of the courtyard.  Multicolored spirals swirl about until they terminate at the marble walls of the structure.  Stone tables have been placed in both the covered and uncovered areas of the courtyard, and potted trees and planters are generously placed about.

The blue stone walls of the arena itself rise over one hundred feet into the air.  Four broad domes attached to the wall of the arena mark the four entrances, which are on each side of the structure.  Around the top of the wall, pennants representing locations from all around Thesk snap in the breeze, with the four entrances to the arena bearing large standards of Phent.
