The sweet smell of freshly warmed pastries wafts around your nose
a full block before you arrive at the bakery. A wooden sign that hangs from a post
above the door reads “Doughrise”, upon which is painted a collection of loaves
of bread. The round windows of this building are
hanging wide open, as if Hendel Grini, the Halfling baker, were tempting the
neighborhood.
The warm air inside the building contrasts sharply with the chill
beyond the confines of the room.
The inside of the building is well lit with candelabras and lanterns, and
smells even more divine than outside.
The anterior of the building, where the goods are all on display, is
rather small, owing to the large number of resources used in the back
kitchen.
Cookies, breads, pastries, pies, and cakes all lie about on
various tables and shelves, some wrapped in thin white paper. Hendel spends his time running from the
back areas where items are currently being baked, to the front area where he
assists his many customers. He
always has a frantic look upon his face.
You can buy bread and pastries here at normal
price.
