Harth's Chandlery

 (12)

Harth Chandler owns the workshop you see before you.  The structure you see before you is boxy and square, with no vegetation nearby.

When you walk into the building, you notice that this building is one large room, complete with three wooden ladders leading to three metal catwalks that circle the room.  The catwalks encompass one large vat of wax, and seven small er ones.  A complicated looking series of ropes, boards, and pulleys are being raised and lowered into the wax churning in the vats.

Each level of the workshop has several giant spindles of wick of various gagues, looped between a series of pegs.  Two workers are operating the pulleys and levers, making the candles that are sold in the city.

There is one large counter near the door, behind which are bins of candles of various sizes and shapes, some of which have color.  To round out the merchandise, several bins of oil and a number of lanterns are being sold, as are blocks of beeswax and sealing wax.

You can buy candles, oil, beeswax, lanterns, and sealing wax here for normal cost.

Harth will make custom candles (or wax models) for 10gp plus cost per candle if a wooden mold bearing the custom shape is brought in.
