The first thing you notic about farmers' Square is the large blue windmill which dominates the skyline of the area of town outside the North wall.
A red tiled square lies at the road near the end of the outgate area North of Phent. A wide deep well lies at the center of it, and a few small outbuildings and trim oleander hedges line the outside of it. You see a second area atatched to the back of the property, the ground thereabout being trampled by roped oxen, sheep, cattle, pigs, and goats. Chickens and ducks fill small cages on carts. Other carts contain straw and bales of hay, or piles of hoes, shovels, and picks.
Two stone grain silos comprise part of the outbuilding structure. You walk across the square to examine the third building, and notice it appears to be selling bags of seed and grain. A fourth building is the windmill itself, and seems to be getting much use judging by the line of carts adjacent to it.
You realize what the fifth building is, a large square one, before you close the distance between it and yourself. It reeks strongly of manure. Carts appear to be making both deposits and withdrawals of the stuff.
You can buy and sell farm animals here for regular price. Ducks cost five times as much as chicken.
You may buy seeds, grain, and farm tools here.
You may sell manure here for two copper per cubic yard, or buy it for three copper per cubic yard.
Fuel blocks are sold here for 8cp per pound. Each pound burns with a dull glow for two hours, and provides comfortable warmth and cooking heat, though it smells a little.
