* The group headed into the darkness of the mysterious cavern, and came upon three wounded Orcs, who they escorted out.

*Many hallways and passages were discovered, replete with doors and secret passages, many of which were found to be trapped.

* Corpses were to be fond, lying about, and piled 23 high in one room.

* Saevio was assaulted form above by a darkmantle, which Landriel grievously smote with her staff.  She slew the besat, and knocked Saevio unconcious.  He was returned to the entrance camber, where Mariah was guarding the exit, and the venerable Polkarth was taking a nap.

* The remainder of the group pressed on to find rat swarms, acid traps, and a nasty pair of rooms filled with rotting goods, which were disturbed.  Landriel, Sery, and Larissa got black mold spores in their lungs, which gave them the cough.

* After resting for a day at the entrance chamber, the group pressed on and

* A storage room was found, a latrine, an empty living chamber (which Sery ransacked), and several roms full of rubble... evidence of seismic activity at some point.  Saevio rejoined the group.

* More rats, and an assault by two more darkmantles followed.  Scraped and bruised, the group returned to the entrance to regroup and rest.

* Larissa came down with an illness giving her mild shakes and nausea.

* Ended Ches 8, late in day.
